Journey

While climbing the mountain

We always envisioned a plateau

high above the clouds

towering over all that we had overcome

stretching out into eternity…

 

We never imagined that

we would have to descend

every step that we so proudly climbed

to rest at last

in the valley

of greatest Peace.
