Surprising- thought I would.
It was full of closed doors, lonely nights
compromise, a pretend happiness.
This place is full of possibilities
maybe even hope
Childhood dreams resurrecting
to challenge my growth.
And I’m afraid.
The honesty here is blinding…
No one to please but me
And no one to blame.
I would like
to meet someone I like
Someone I wouldn’t have to make allowances for
Someone I could love with both eyes open..
It may take time
but that’s o.k.
Time for me began today
